The Abtu-Kahn have unwittingly brought a parasitic entity to Phyrra.  Sensing a disruption in the balance of the world, the Elementals, guardians of the natural world, have returned to the city in order to combat this alien threat.

Starting this Thursday, players who have completed the first twelve chapters in the ongoing story of the Abtu-Kahn will have to make a choice:  Will you give in to the parasite and help the entity in its mission to order the chaos of the universe, or will you join the Elementals, and protect the natural order?

Whether Elemental or Singlemind, you will be tasked with hunting down and eliminating players who have sworn to the opposing side.  Defeating these players will earn points for your faction.

Though you will join the Faction of your choice initially, it will be possible to be recruited to the other side.  As part of the Parasitic Entity, you can spread the infection to opposing players, while Elemental Allies will be able cure the infected.  The final score will be determined based on a combination of points scored during the event, as well as the total population of each Faction when the event ends.

Success is vital, as it will decide nothing less than the future of the Duels universe.

The winning faction will determine the theme of a future expansion.

This event will be a bold step in the type of player-driven storytelling that Duels is pioneering.  From this point on, each expansion should feature a similar type of PVP-oriented lore event.

Will this future of Phyrra be one of biological alien infection, or a celebration of the elements of the natural world? That is what this event will determine and the decision lies in your hands.
